Copper Lines versus VoIP

Copper lines are also known as POTS lines. These are the most commonly used lines today in business and home. When you think of your POTS line you have all the features you are accustomed to including caller ID, voicemail, conference calling, call forwarding, and much more. VoIP lines provide the same service and functions as do POTS lines with added benefits. There are other considerations when moving from your POTS lines on a Key System and to a VoIP setup. VoIPTelCaster replaces those old Key Systems with a system that uses the VoIP technology, what's more is you can still use your POTS lines with your VoIPTelCaster if desired with the addition of POTS cards. A POTS line also has the ability to work when you lose your power, while a VoIP line does not.

A VoIP line depends on the Internet to function and allows you to actually carry your telephone with you where ever you go as long as you have a broadband connection. VoIP lines generally are much lower in cost than a POTS line and some offer unlimited calling within the US and Canada, while others have specified European countries on the same plan. VoIP also has it's draw backs. If you're in an area that is prone to network outages, or power failures then VoIPTelCaster is not for you. When your power goes out, so does your telephone.

The bottom line is you have choices with your VoIPTelCaster setup, including the ability to use the POTS lines.
